THE Sexy Chef: Manu Feildel, Key Foodplay Ingredient: Campbell’s Italian Soup Base

Manu Feildel… with his French accent, marvelous showmanship and ease on the eye… is definitely one of THE sexiest celebrity chefs in Australia!

Cooking is really Manu’s true passion.  It’s in the family!  His great grandfather was a pastry chef, his grandfather was a chef, and his father was a chef.  When Manu was a teenager, he joined his father’s restaurant in Saint-Nazaire (following on from two years of circus school!) He was head chef at Bilsons, opened the kitchen at Hugo’s Lounge, his own French restaurant L’etoile in Paddington and is best know for his TV appearances on Ready Steady Cook, winning Dancing with the Stars and, of course, as the co-host of My Kitchen Rules.

Thanks to Campbell’s Real Soup Bases, we were fortunate enough to hang out in the kitchen and have fun behind the camera with Manu.

As a result, here it is… we are sharing with you not only his special recipe for Italian Speck Bacon and Lentil Soup , but also the full video of how Manu ‘hit the spot’ for me, particularly to warm us up this winter.

“I love cooking so much because I love eating!

If if you love eating, you research.  People ask me if I have a favourite dish, it’s not about that … It’s about looking at what you want to make today, based on what is in front of you.”
